Dearest,
Thought I would drop you a line as it is nearly dinner-time and I have nothing to do at the moment-- a 7th wonder, isn't it? Going up around Woodbine this afternoon. The room is getting a bit dusty, since you aren't around to clean it. Let me know if you get any idea as to when you're coming home. I might just possibly come down this week-end; could, maybe. No promise, of course. Say, you must have spent plenty for groceries the week before you left. It's now 12 dollars, and I've only spent 3 dollars this week of baching. Please explain. Miss you very much. Well, it's closing time. So - lots of love. Melvin
